Job description

We are looking for a Modern BI & Big Data Data Engineer available to work in Lisbon.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+3 years of role experience
Proven experience in developing and maintaining secure and efficient data pipelines using technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure SQL
Strong programming skills and orientation in languages such as PySpark and SQL
Design, implement and optimize SQL processes, functions, stored procedures to meet data analysis and processing needs
Ability to collaborate with data scientists and other data engineers to ensure data quality and integrity
Implement BI modeling solutions to support data-driven decision making
Monitor and improve the performance of ETL and ELT data transformation processes
Experience in projects with new data architectures focused on the Cloud and supported by systems such as Lakehouses
Follow the good practices defined for each technology and critical sense to improve
Sense of responsibility in responding to teams and hierarchies
Consultancy-oriented approach

Valued, but not mandatory:

Knowledge of other technologies such as SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, more focused on onPremise systems
Other data-adjacent technologies such as Azure Logic Apps, Functons, Key Vault, Log Analtycs, etc. are highly valued
Ability to analyze project needs in the technical component
Implementation of other activities outside the engineering domain such as modeling and visualizations
Knowledge of PowerBI (semantic modeling and DAX) is highly valued
Knowledge of other technologies such as Snowflake, DBT, Airflow or other Cloud Providers are valued
Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices for data pipelines
